Born April 18, 1974, Matt Shea has had a long history of domestic terrorism in the name of the Fundamentalist Baptist Church. 

Shea was first elected to the Washington State House in 2008. An independent investigation by The Rampart Group was commissioned by the Washington State House. It released on December 1, 2010, found that Shea has either participated, planned, or helped to promote at least three armed standoffs against the United States Government.  (TLDR: 15 Details You May Have Missed From Deep Inside the Rep Matt Shea Report, Oregan Public Broadcasting, December 22, 2019).

The acts of domestic terrorism reported in the Rampart Report are:

• According to the report, Shea called up and dispatched local militia group Liberty for All III% to Bunkersville, Nevada, to participate with rancher Cliven Bundy and his family resist a federal court order to vacate public lands. 
• In August 2015, Rep. Shea traveled to Priest River, Idaho, and participated in an armed conflict against the US Government's Veterans Administration. In this case, VA officials planned to remove the weapons from the home of a veteran who had been red-flagged by healthcare officials. 
• In August 2016, Rep. Shea once again met up with members of the Oath Keepers and III% and participated in a 41-day stand-off in Malheur National Wildlife Refuge (Oregon) that lasted for 41 days. 
• Matt Shea is a founding member and former "governor" and board member of the separatist group Libery State Foundation. This organization is attempting to form a 51st state taking and combining counties in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. 

During the Nevada standoff, Shea created "Operation Armed Backyard."

 

Shea also developed and circulated what he called a, "Biblical Basis for War"

 

It should be noted that Matt Shea made headlines in August 2019, when reports appeared in The Spokesman that he advocated training children to fight in a holy war . 

While not in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho during the Pride celebration on June 11, 2022, he does have ties to the Patriot Front members arrested and charged for Conpiracy to Riot. 

Matt Shea does ties to at least one Patriot Front Member; meet  Mishael (Shael) Buster of Spokane, WA.

 Mishael's father is Matt Buster. Matt Buster and Matthew Shea were members of Ken Pete's The Church at Planned Parenthood until there tossed from the congregation. 

Not to be dismayed, Buster was instrumental in Shea's new church. On Fire Ministries and later Kingdom Christian Academy.
